iOS Photo Mover is a Windows desktop app from Komos Solutions. Plug in your iPhone or iPad, choose a folder, and the app copies each photo and video across one at a time. Every copy is checked (file size and SHA-256 checksum) before it is placed in your folder. If you choose move mode, the original is removed from the device only after its copy has been verified.
D:\Pictures.name_1.ext and the rename is logged. The Microsoft Store version is recommended. The direct installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" - choose More info and then Run anyway if you trust the download.
In the folder you choose, on your own PC, in sub-folders based on the layout you select (for example 2026\ for the Year layout). Nothing is uploaded anywhere. A CSV log of each transfer is saved in the same folder.
Not unless you ask it to. Copy-only mode is on by default and never deletes anything. If you turn copy-only mode off, each original is deleted only after its copy has been verified by size and SHA-256 checksum. If the device does not allow deletion, the app tells you and continues in copy-only mode.
If iCloud Photos with "Optimise iPhone/iPad Storage" is turned on, many full-size originals are kept only in iCloud and are not on the device, so Windows cannot see them over USB. To include them, choose "Download and Keep Originals" in Settings > Photos on the device and let them download first, or download them from iCloud.com.
Unlock the device, keep it on the home screen and tap "Trust" when asked, then press Refresh. If you are not asked, unplug and reconnect the cable while the device is unlocked.
Yes. HEIC photos are copied as they are. To view them in the Windows Photos app you may need the free HEIF Image Extensions from the Microsoft Store.
Yes. Press Cancel; the file being copied is discarded and nothing incomplete is deleted from the device. Run the transfer again later - files already copied are recognised and skipped.
